Today my daughter turns 14 years old. It has been an incredibly wonderful journey watching her grow from a giggly, happy, baby to an awesome young lady.
A few reflections of years gone by....
My daughter is excellent at self-photos and they often turn out better than anyone else's! Here she was drawing with chalk in our backyard in Alberta. She was about 10 years old.
This was taken 2 years ago...we were fishing at a local pond and she fell in. It was quite chilly that particular day but she stuck it out ~ wet and all.
This beautiful photo was taken by my 4 year old niece two summers ago! With this kind of talent in the family I should just hang up my cameras right now!

Oh my gosh, she is so pretty.
My daughter is named Kristen too!
Julie
Your daughter is beautiful. There is so much life in her eyes.
Thank you for your kind words, ladies. Julie, it's a great name for a girl, isn't it?! I don't mind being old and ugly because I have beautiful children ~ oh wait, in the middle of teenage angst! What am I thinking???? Ha ha ha, my kids are awesome.
Happy Birthday Kristen!! As her proud aunt, of course I think she is beautiful, but she really IS beautiful, both inside and out!!
I, too, love her name. I still remember hearing it on the day she was born (which, strangely, I remember that day so well), and I was still pregnant with Gray. I loved the combination of Kristen Emily...so pretty and full of promise.
Hope she had a nice day...
Linda

She does do a great job and what a pretty girl! Usually, my finger is in the way or my husband is picking my nose when I try to do self-portaits. :-)
Thanks, Mum. However, I would like to clear a few things up!! The little cousin was 5 at the time, and in the first picture I was closer to 6, or 7!! Anyways, thanks again! I smell spring outside today...
Loved seeing this...Kristen is so beautiful!
